Basement floor coating

A finished basement floor without the carpet, the tile or the moisture worries

Seamless epoxy, flake or metallic floors that seal out damp, brighten the space and clean with a mop. A fraction of the cost of flooring, and it never has to be torn out when the sump backs up.

Turn bare concrete into a room you actually use

Most basements in this region sit on concrete that sweats a little every spring. Carpet holds the moisture and the smell, laminate swells, and bare concrete dusts constantly. A coated floor gives you a finished, wipeable surface that does not care about a bit of damp.

We test for moisture first, grind the slab, repair cracks and then build the floor in your choice of solid colour, decorative flake or a metallic marble finish. The result is a bright, seamless floor that works for a family room, a home gym, a rental suite or a laundry room.

  • Moisture tested before we start
  • Mold and mildew resistant
  • Hides cracks and old stains
  • Easy to keep clean, warm it up with area rugs
  • Solid, flake or metallic finishes

Our process

How a basement floor gets done

  1. Moisture test

We test the slab so we choose the right base and can flag any drainage issue before coating.

  2. Diamond grind

Grinding removes paint, glue and surface dust and opens the concrete for bond.

  3. Crack and joint repair

Cracks are chased and filled and control joints are filled flush so the floor is one smooth surface.

  4. Primer or moisture barrier

Where the test calls for it, a moisture-tolerant primer goes down first.

  5. Colour or flake coat

Solid colour epoxy, a flake broadcast, or hand-applied metallic pigments.

  6. Topcoat

A clear polyaspartic or urethane topcoat for scratch resistance and easy cleaning.

From our customers

What people say after the floor is done

We hired Midwest Armour Solutions for a full epoxy coating in our commercial shop, and they knocked it out of the park. Zero shortcuts, top-tier materials, and their crew was professional from start to finish. They even worked around our schedule to avoid downtime. The floor looks sharp and holds up against forklifts, spills, and heavy equipment. Saskatchewan needs more companies like this.

Fast, clean, and built to last. 10/10 experience! I had Midwest Armour coat our basement floor, and the entire process was seamless. They explained everything clearly, did a full grind and prep (which most other guys skipped), and gave me a rock-solid finish that doesn't scratch or stain. Bonus: it even has that subtle flake shine that looks amazing under lights. I've already recommended them to two neighbours.
Mark R
These guys are the real deal. Professional, honest, and the floor looks unreal. I had them coat my shop floor out on the farm, and not only did they travel out without hassle, but they also prepped everything perfectly and had it done faster than expected. The floor is solid, non-slip, and holds up against oil, mud, and daily use. Best part? It still looks brand new months later. Hard to find this level of workmanship these days.
