Rubber pool deck paving

A pool deck that stays cool, grips wet feet and never needs a tear-out

Rubber paving over your existing pool surround. Barefoot friendly, slip resistant, quick to dry, and it flexes with the ground instead of cracking around the pool edge.

Concrete around a pool is the wrong material for the job

It gets hot enough to send kids running, it is slick the moment it is wet, and the freeze-thaw cycle works on the joints around the coping every winter. Most pool surrounds in this region are cracked within a few years of being poured.

Rubber paving fixes all three problems at once. It stays cooler in the sun, grips bare and wet feet, and lets water drain through instead of pooling. It goes straight over the existing concrete, right up to the coping, so there is no demolition beside the pool.

  • Cooler underfoot than concrete or stone
  • Slip resistant when wet
  • Drains through, dries quickly
  • Softer landing for kids
  • Seamless up to the pool coping

Our process

How a pool deck gets done

  1. Inspect and measure

We check the slab, coping and drainage and measure for a firm quote.

  2. Pressure wash and repair

The surround is cleaned and any spalled or loose areas are patched.

  3. Prime

Bonding primer, with a clean edge cut at the coping.

  4. Mix on site

Granules and binder in your chosen colour, often a lighter blend to keep it cooler.

  5. Pour and trowel

Applied by hand and finished flush to the coping and any drains.

  6. Cure

Walk on it the next day. Swim season carries on.

What people say after the job is done

We hired Midwest Armour Solutions for a full epoxy coating in our commercial shop, and they knocked it out of the park. Zero shortcuts, top-tier materials, and their crew was professional from start to finish. They even worked around our schedule to avoid downtime. The floor looks sharp and holds up against forklifts, spills, and heavy equipment. Saskatchewan needs more companies like this.

Fast, clean, and built to last. 10/10 experience! I had Midwest Armour coat our basement floor, and the entire process was seamless. They explained everything clearly, did a full grind and prep (which most other guys skipped), and gave me a rock-solid finish that doesn't scratch or stain. Bonus: it even has that subtle flake shine that looks amazing under lights. I've already recommended them to two neighbours.
Mark R
These guys are the real deal. Professional, honest, and the floor looks unreal. I had them coat my shop floor out on the farm, and not only did they travel out without hassle, but they also prepped everything perfectly and had it done faster than expected. The floor is solid, non-slip, and holds up against oil, mud, and daily use. Best part? It still looks brand new months later. Hard to find this level of workmanship these days.
